ME4068 Overview:
ME4068 is a lithium battery charge management chip with constant current and constant voltage charging mode. A single (4.2V) lithium battery can be charged quickly and efficiently. The current mode PWM step-down switch control structure provides a small, simple and efficient solution for fast charging of lithium batteries.
ME4068 built-in anti-backflow function, so the practical application does not require the input end diode anti-backflow.
The ME4068 uses an external Sense resistor to set a highly accurate charge current, and an internal divider resistor and a precise reference voltage to set the battery‘s floating charge voltage to a single section (4.2V) with an accuracy of up to ±1%. When the input power is removed, the chip automatically enters low-current sleep mode, and the battery leakage current is as low as 3μA. When the charging cycle is over, if the voltage of a single battery drops to 4.1V, the chip will automatically re-charge the battery. The chip also has the function of charging timing protection, which automatically shuts off after 6 hours of charging.
