February 17 - after NVIDIA‘s $66 billion acquisition of arm‘s "largest acquisition in semiconductor history" failed, Softbank group again promoted arm‘s IPO and announced that it would start preparing for arm‘s IPO in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023 under the coordination with arm.
Sources said that Softbank raised the valuation of arm‘s IPO to more than $50 billion and asked banks competing to participate in arm‘s listing plan to underwrite about $8 billion in margin loans. Softbank is selecting a list of underwriters, and margin loan financing related to arm‘s IPO is one of the options it is considering.
