ME4052 Overview:
ME4052 is a complete two-section lithium-ion battery constant voltage constant current charge management chip. The ESOP8 package, with few external components, makes it ideal for portable applications.
The ME4052 achieves high precision charging current through an external current detection resistor. The internal thermal feedback circuit can control the chip temperature during the charging process. The charging cut-off voltage is fixed at 8.4V, and the charging current can be adjusted by an external resistor. When the charging current reaches 1.5/10 of the constant current, the ME4052 will terminate the charging.
When the input voltage (adapter or USB) is removed, the ME4052 goes into sleep mode. The charging path is automatically turned off inside the chip, and the input voltage becomes low. At this time, the battery leakage current is reduced to less than 5uA.
The ME4052 also features input undervoltage lock, automatic recharge, and charge indication pins.
