ME4078

    ME4078 is a lithium battery charge management chip with constant current and constant voltage charging mode. Dual (8.4V/8.7V) and triple (12.6V) lithium batteries can be charged quickly and efficiently. The current mode PWM step-down switch control structure provides a small, simple and efficient solution for fast charging of lithium batteries.
    The ME4078 has built-in anti-backflow function, so the actual application does not require the input end diode anti-backflow.
    The ME4078 uses an external Sense resistor to set the high-precision charge current, and an internal divider resistor and a precise reference voltage to set the battery‘s floating charge voltage at two (8.4V/8.7V) and three (12.6V) sections. It also has an accuracy of up to ±1%. When the input power is removed, the chip automatically enters low-current sleep mode, and the battery leakage current is as low as 8μA. At the end of the charging cycle, if the voltage drops to 8.2V (two sections), the chip will automatically re-charge the battery after 12.2V (three sections). The chip also has the function of charging timing protection, which automatically shuts off after 6 hours of charging.
