Zhongke Lanxun has launched a new Bluetooth audio chip AB5656A2/C2 for wireless Bluetooth earphones, which supports Bluetooth 5.4 connection protocol and is suitable for OWS earphones.
It is reported that this is the first OWS chip product of Zhongke Lanxun. Industry chain expert Wang S told Chaodian Think Tank, "In the OWS field, there are more chips from Qualcomm and Jerry. AB5656A2/C2, as a product that Zhongke Lanxun focuses on entering OWS, has strong algorithmic advantages."
Chao Dian Think Tank has learned that the true rise of open headphones occurred in the past one or two years.
The concept of "OWS (Open Wearable Stereo)" was first globally proposed by Top Ten Technology at the 2021 Industry Summit; Cleer (a brand under Shenzhen Guanxu Electronics Co., Ltd.), which had been exploring open earphones as early as 2019, released its first open earphone ARC sound arc in January 2022; Sony has released two consecutive open headphone products in the past two years.
It is reported that Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor and other manufacturers are following up and will launch their own open headphones this year.
A senior executive from a certain headphone manufacturer mentioned above, Fang S, revealed, "The performance of the company‘s open headphones increased by two to three times year-on-year in 2022. From the market outlook, it is even expected to replace TWS in the future."
Zhongke Lanxun, which is making strong efforts in the new product end, relies on its huge growth momentum behind it.
On the one hand, Zhongke Lanxun has a clear advantage in the mid to low end market.
According to relevant data, Zhongke Lanxun‘s chip sales in 2022 reached nearly 1 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 8.18%; In the first quarter of this year, its chip sales increased by 53.77% year-on-year, to 290 million units.
Based on the analysis of the shipment performance of TWS in the first quarter of this year, Chaodian Think Tank believes that the market is in a trend of high-end obstruction and mid to low end release. Zhongke Lanxun was able to fly against the wind mainly due to its low-end products.
Market data shows that TWS shipments decreased by 10% in the first quarter of 2023. The top three manufacturers in this quarter were Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi, with shipments decreasing by 19%, 22%, and 31% respectively. Indian local manufacturer boAt‘s TWS shipment volume increased by 30%, ranking fourth. OPPO, ranked fifth, saw a year-on-year increase of 38% in shipment volume.
At present, Zhongke Lanxun has entered the supply system of terminal brands such as Xiaomi, TCL, Transsion, Meilan, NOKIA, Philips, Lenovo, Iron Triangle, Skyworth, Newman, Shanshui, Huiwei, Motorola, Himalaya, Beisi, boAt, Noise, iFLYTEK, Xiaxin, NetEase, Sing Bar, QCY, Tmall Genie, Monster, Sudio, etc.
On the other hand, Zhongke Lanxun has officially entered the high-end market.
According to the Chaodian Think Tank, Zhongke Lanxun has invested 238 million yuan in research and development in the past three years. Last August, it launched its high-end product "Xunlong Third Generation".
Zhongke Lanxun stated that the "Xunlong Third Generation" has entered the mass production stage. According to official reports, the "Xunlong Third Generation" can be used in mid to high end headphones, speakers, and smartwatch products, and is expected to make breakthroughs in the first tier brand market.
