LTC6810 is a multi unit battery stack monitor. The LTC6810 can measure up to 6 series connected battery units, with a total measurement error of less than 1.8mV. The LTC6810 has a battery measurement range of 0V to 5V, making it suitable for most battery chemistry applications. Can be done at 290 μ Measure all 6 battery cells within s and select a lower data acquisition rate for noise reduction.
Multiple LTC6810-1 devices can be connected in series to simultaneously monitor long high-voltage battery strings. Each LTC6810 has an isoSPI interface for high-speed, RF anti-interference, and long-distance communication. Multiple devices are connected to the host processor in a daisy chain using LTC6810-1, suitable for all devices. LTC6810-1 supports bidirectional operation and can even communicate with broken wires. Multiple devices use LTC6810-2 in parallel with the host processor, and each device is individually addressed.
The battery stack can directly power the LTC6810, or it can be powered by an isolated power source. The LTC6810 has passive balancing and PWM duty cycle control functions for each battery unit, and can perform redundant battery measurements. Other features include an onboard 5V regulator, 4 universal I/O lines, and sleep mode (in which power consumption is reduced to 4 μ A) .
application
● Electric and hybrid vehicles
● Backup battery system
