STM32H5 exploration kit for STM32H5 semiconductor microcontroller accelerates the development of secure, intelligent, and interconnected devices

    Italian Semiconductor has released a feature rich STM32H5 microcontroller (MCU) development board. The STM32H5 microcontroller is an ideal choice for developing high-performance data processing and advanced security applications, suitable for developing various applications, such as smart sensors, smart appliances, industrial controllers, network devices, personal electronic products, and medical devices.

    The STM32H573I-DK exploration kit allows developers to explore all the integrated features of STM32H5, such as analog peripherals, timers, and ST ART (Adaptive Real Time) accelerators ™、 Media interfaces and mathematical accelerators facilitate developers to evaluate new designs for industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor drivers, and intelligent controllers for household appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines. Other potential applications include alarm controllers, communication hubs, and intelligent lighting control.

    The STM32H573I-DK Discovery Kit is a multifunctional development board equipped with an STM32H5 microcontroller, color touch screen, digital interface microphone, as well as USB, Ethernet, and Wi Fi ® Wait for network interfaces. There are also audio codecs and flash memory on the board, as well as pins for connecting the expansion board and daughter board.

    In order to simplify the development process, the STM32CubeH5 MCU software package integrates all the software components required for developing applications on STM32H5, including code examples and application code. This software package is all integrated into the STM32Cube ecosystem, including additional software to assist in application development. Italian Semiconductor also provides MCU configuration and initialization tool STM32CubeMX.

    STM32H5 was launched in March 2023 using Arm operating at a frequency of 250MHz ® Cortex ®- The M33 embedded processor core is the first microcontroller from Italian Semiconductor to support the ST Secure Manager system chip security solution. This MCU integrates Arm TrustZone ® The STM32Trust trusted framework of security technology and Semantic Semiconductor provides developers with trusted storage, encryption, authentication, and update capabilities. This product also incorporates a hardware encryption accelerator with side channel protection function, focusing on market recognized security certification, PSA Certified Level 3, and GlobalPlatform SESIP3.

    Italian Semiconductor has developed the STM32H573I-DK exploration kit and examples explaining how to use security services, integrating all necessary software tools and technical support into the STM32Cube development ecosystem.

    This exploration kit, as well as the H5 Nucleo development board Nucleo-H563ZI, can now be purchased from the electronics store and authorized agents of Italian Semiconductor. A few days later, some STM32 IoT cloud solutions will be launched along with this kit.
