According to statistical data released by the General Administration of Customs on April 13th, from January to March this year, China imported a total of 108.19 billion integrated circuits, with a total import amount of 538.24 billion yuan; Compared to the same period last year, it decreased by 22.9% and 21.0% respectively. Meanwhile, the cumulative export of integrated circuits reached 60.91 billion, with a total export value of 217.27 billion yuan; Compared to the same period last year, it decreased by 13.5% and 11.3% respectively.
Analysts believe that against the backdrop of a global economic slowdown and increased restrictions on semiconductor technology exports from the United States to China, China‘s chip imports continue to decrease. Meanwhile, chip prices have further declined this year due to oversupply and continued sluggish demand.
It is worth noting that the import and export scale of chips in March has rebounded compared to the previous two months.
