Anker Innovations, a global consumer electronics brand, has launched the AnkerWork M650, a hands-free wireless radio microphone product specifically designed for content creators.
This product includes two transmitters (each using a highly sensitive omnidirectional microphone for sound pickup) and a receiver, all using Nordic Semiconductor‘s advanced dual core multi protocol nRF5340 SoC.

Frank Zhu, Vice President of Anke Innovation and President of Zhixin, stated:
The AnkerWork brand is committed to bringing professional audio and video quality to the public, and the M650 is the ideal choice for content creators, especially suitable for producing short videos or conducting live broadcasts.

Each transmitter has a magnetic back clip that is easy to attach to the wearer‘s shirt, paired with a wind shield and VoiceShield ™ Noise reduction technology to reduce background noise. Anke Innovation uses proprietary TrueLink ™ The wireless protocol forwards audio data from the transmitter to the receiver, enabling high-definition audio pickup and lossless stereo input within a maximum range of 200 meters.
The balance of size, performance, and power consumption of nRF5340 SoC is excellent
Nordic‘s nRF5340 SoC integrates a powerful dual Arm ® Cortex ®- M33 processor; A high-performance application processor that supports DSP and floating-point, with 1 MB of flash memory and 512 KB of RAM; A fully programmable ultra low power network processor with 256 KB flash memory and 64 KB RAM. The dedicated application processor provides sufficient computing resources for monitoring the LC3plus audio codec, ensuring clear sound pickup and stable transmission.
Audio data is transmitted to the receiver through nRF5340 SoC using a 2.4 GHz multi-protocol radio relay. The receiver is equipped with a high-resolution LCD touch screen, allowing users to adjust input/output and audio settings in near real-time with just one touch.
The transmitter and receiver are powered by a 350 mAh lithium battery and can operate for 6 hours after charging, while the wireless charging box can provide an additional 9 hours of operating time. This long battery life is attributed to the ultra low power operation characteristics of Nordic nRF5340 SoC. The nRF5340 SoC adopts a fully automated power management system to reduce power consumption.
Using the included cable, audio can be uploaded from the receiver to the user‘s smartphone, camera, tablet, or computer. Then you can use the AnkerWork application that is compatible with Windows and MacOS to edit and customize recordings.
Zhu represents:
The excellent balance in size, performance, and power consumption of nRF5340 SoC is the main reason why we chose to use this SoC. During the development process, the Nordic nRF Connect SDK and application examples are also very helpful.
Nordic engineers have rich technical knowledge and provide timely and professional technical support to ensure the smooth development process.
