On December 27th, IDC released a report today that it is expected that China‘s PC monitor shipments will decline by 1.6% year-on-year in 2023, and the bottom will rebound in 2024.
The report predicts that the proportion of high-score and high-brush products will continue to grow. With the decline of panel price, the cost of the whole machine is reduced, and the price of high resolution and high refresh rate displays continues to decline; Consumers have richer use scenarios for monitors and higher requirements for display quality and refresh rate, which has led to the continuous increase of the share of high-score and high-brush displays.
It is understood that IDC said that the intensification of market competition has led to the downward movement of the mainstream price segment of the overall display, but the market of consumer displays above 1000 yuan has been limited. It is estimated that the mainstream price segment of the consumer display market will jump to 1000-1499 yuan in 2023, with a year-on-year increase of 13.0%.
Nowadays, Type-C interface has become a configuration that many users care about. Some displays can realize screen projection, data transmission, power supply and other functions through Type-C interface. IDC estimates that China‘s shipments of displays with Type-C interfaces will account for 5% of the overall market in 2023. At the same time, the display is also gradually developing towards intelligence. Wireless projection and intelligent interconnection make office entertainment more convenient.
