On December 3, it was reported that Global Foundries, a semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in the United States, was separated from AMD in 2009. Recently, through a virtual conference, the company told its employees that it planned to cut as many as 800 employees worldwide, mainly non productive positions. It accounts for 5.3% of the company‘s total global employees of about 15000.
According to VTDigger, the layoffs of Geochip are not concentrated in any geographical region, and these layoffs are planned to be implemented before the end of 2022. The layoffs are mainly targeted at non productive posts and will include administrative level layoffs.
Gridwick previously released its preliminary financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2022 as of September 30. The company shipped 637000 pieces of 300 mm wafers, an increase of 5% over the same period last year, setting a company record.
Gexin also reported a record revenue of $2.1 billion, up 22%, a record net revenue of $336 million and an adjusted net revenue of $368 million.
