That is, the current is large at the beginning of charging. With the continuous rise of battery voltage, the charging current decreases until it is full. At this time, the charging current approaches zero. Then it will automatically change to constant voltage charging to maintain the power loss of battery self discharge. No matter how long you charge it, you won‘t charge it too much. This charging method can greatly prolong the service life of the battery and shorten the charging time at the same time.

    2、 R8 is to adjust the charging current. I use two 0.15/2w resistors together. 36ah is discharged, and the battery voltage is 10.8V at this time. The initial charging current is about 6A. Adjust RW to make no-load voltage 16.3v. When fully charged, the online voltage of the battery is 16V to 16.1v.

    3、 The working mode is flyback and the working frequency is 100kHz. The transformer is made of sandwich bread, that is, the secondary electrode is wrapped in the middle of two primary layers to reduce leakage inductance and increase the coupling strength between primary and secondary.

    4、 The 75W of this machine is suitable for charging lead-acid batteries from 12Ah to 60ah. Changing R8 can adjust the initial charging current within a certain range. If 60ah to 120ah batteries are charged, larger magnetic cores should be replaced, and the high-frequency transformer also needs to be redesigned, otherwise the charging time will be prolonged. For example, if pq3230, ee40 and EC40 are replaced, 150W can be achieved under the premise of 220V to 230V input voltage. Increase the heat sink of switch IC and output rectifier diode, reduce R8, and there is no need to change others.
