Taipei, Taiwan Province, China, April 25, 2024 - Morse Micro, the world‘s leading Wi-Fi HaLow chip manufacturer, today announced the official opening of its Taiwan office. This strategic move demonstrates Morse Microelectronics‘ commitment to China‘s Taiwan operations and marks an important milestone in the company‘s business expansion efforts in the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
Michael Denier, co-founder and CEO of Morse Microelectronics
Morse Microelectronics has been doing business in Taiwan for many years and currently has a manufacturing partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and a distribution relationship with Weikeng, ASEC and Alltek for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED HaLow chips in Greater China. With a customer-centric focus, this reinforces Morse Microelectronics‘ commitment to bringing Wi-Fi HaLow solutions to market: working with Wi-Fi HaLow module customers and ODM customers to provide long-range, low-power connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The rapid growth of the Internet of Things has exposed technical shortcomings in the range and energy efficiency of traditional Wi-Fi connections. Morse Microelectronics‘ industry-leading Wi-Fi HaLow portfolio addresses these challenges, delivering the industry‘s smallest, fastest, and lowest-power Wi-Fi solutions. Wi-Fi HaLow offers 10 times the transmission distance, 100 times the coverage area, and 1,000 times the capacity of traditional Wi-Fi solutions.
Australia‘s representative to Taiwan, Mr Robert Fergusson, attended the opening of the new office and noted: "Morse Microelectronics‘ new location brings Australian innovation to the heart of Taipei. The company‘s investment in the new office is a testament to the growing trade opportunities between Australia and Taiwan. We hope to further strengthen existing trade ties and deepen our economic partnership. We look forward to further cooperation and prosperity in the future."
Michael De Nil, co-founder and CEO of Morse Microelectronics, said: "Our business expansion demonstrates the company‘s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of customers on both sides of the Chinese Strait. We are excited to establish a larger branch here because we know that by being closer to our customers, we can strengthen our collaboration, better understand their needs, and continue to innovate and exceed their expectations."
In addition to enhancing closer customer interaction, the Chinese Taipei branch will also become Morse Microelectronics‘ operations and support center in Greater China, further contributing to the growth of the region.
