    With the increasing variety of smart home products, people‘s requirements for cross-platform connectivity are also increasing. In this context, the Matter agreement has emerged and become a strong support for promoting the development of the smart home industry. The Matter protocol, launched by the CSA Connectivity Standards Alliance, aims to break down communication barriers between different brands, so that smart home devices can truly be connected to each other, thereby enhancing the smart home experience. In order to enable developers to more efficiently develop smart home products that support the Matter protocol, the company launched the Matter Thread wireless module solution based on the NXP K32W061 wireless microcontroller, which enables the seamless integration of smart devices in the home ecosystem.

      The K32W061 is an ultra-low power and high performance wireless microcontroller from NXP, which is based on Arm. Cortex? -M4 kernel, support ZigBee, Thread (IEEE802.15.4 network protocol), BLE protocol and Matter application development. Not only that, the product is small in appearance and has a variety of low-power modes to provide ultra-low Tx (transmit) and Rx (receive) power consumption, which is ideal for space-constrained and power-demanding applications. For example, Smart Home products such as Smart Energy, Home Automation, Smart Lighting, remote control or wireless sensors.
    In addition to the core MCU, the solution is also equipped with Winbond‘s W25Q80DV Flash products, which can be more flexible to meet the design needs of different applications.

    At present, the deep integration of the bulb and HomePod Mini has been easily achieved with this solution. Users can now easily adjust the brightness, color and color temperature of the bulb through a dedicated smart home APP to create a different atmosphere for your living space. At the same time, by combining the solution with the door magnetic product, the opening and closing status of the door can be displayed in real time, providing a solid guarantee for the user‘s home safety.
Core technical advantages:
    Able to establish ZigBee/Thread network to support access to Matter ecosystem;
    Compatible with JN5189 design;
    Ability to communicate with external MCUS via UART;
    The external Flash mode is flexible and can be flexibly configured according to different product application requirements.
    Low power consumption, suitable for battery equipment.
