Infineon MOTIX series adds new members: launches 160 V dual channel gate driver ICs suitable for battery powered applications

Time:2023-12-23 Views:454
Infineon Technologies Inc. (FSE code: IFX/OTCQX code: IFNNY) announced its MOTIX for automotive and industrial motor control applications ™ Add new members to the series. To further expand the lineup of this advanced product line, Infineon has launched MOTIX dual channel gate driver ICs, including 2ED2742S01G, 2ED2732S01G, 2ED2748S01G, and 2ED2738S01G. These 160 V silicon on insulator (SOI) gate drivers are powerful and cost-effective small gate driver solutions with excellent latch resistance, and are specifically designed for battery powered applications such as cordless power tools, multi rotor aircraft, drones, and light electric vehicles with battery voltages up to 120 V.

Infineon‘s SOI technology does not have parasitic diode structures and has excellent robustness, as well as industry-leading ability to withstand negative transient voltage spikes on VS pins. These dual channel gate drivers integrate bootstrap diodes to power external high-voltage side bootstrap capacitors, further reducing system level BOM costs. These semiconductor devices use compact 3 x 3 mm ² VSON10 is packaged and offers two configurations, half bridge (HB) and high side+low side (HS+LS), as well as two different pull/fill currents, which can drive n-channel MOSFETs in various applications.
The pulling current of 2ED2732S01G and 2ED2742S01G is 1A, and the filling current is 2A; The pulling current of 2ED2738S01G and 2ED2748S01G is 4 A, and the filling current is 8 A. All VCC and VB pins of the product have independent undervoltage locking (UVLO) function, and the half bridge product also integrates breakdown protection (STP) function. In addition, relevant JEDEC78/20/22 tests have shown that the MOTIX 160 V solution fully meets the requirements of industrial applications.
Supply situation
The M OTIX 160V SOI low-voltage motor control solution has been launched. The EVAL-6ED2742S01QM1 evaluation board using 2ED2742S01G has also been launched.
