Taisi Microelectronics Announces Mass Production of Single String Battery Meter Chip TCB561

    Tinychip Micro, a leading supplier of high-performance specialized SoC chips in China, recently announced the launch of the TCB561 single string lithium battery power meter chip, which uses WLCSP12 packaging (1.98mm x 1.30mm x 0.415mm) for power management of single string lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. TCB561 is equipped with a high-precision current and voltage detection circuit, which integrates a high-precision adaptive power calculation method based on a precise battery model. Compared to traditional impedance algorithms or voltage compensation algorithms, it has higher power prediction accuracy and better temperature characteristics. At the same time, it supports the opening of internal MCU resources and secondary development. It has benchmark significance in the field of domestic electricity meters and battery management chips.

The main advantages of TCB561 are:

    Support current sampling resistors as low as 0.5m Ω: In today‘s consumer electronics market, applications mainly focused on mobile phones/laptops are increasingly demanding charging rates. A current sampling resistor with a lower resistance value causes less heat change when passing through a large current. TCB561 can support fast charging current of 24A and above.
    Accurate cut-off voltage point estimation: The remaining capacity is estimated using the TinyGaugeTM algorithm, and the voltage point with RSOC of 0% is accurately located. Compared with the preset discharge cut-off voltage value, the error between the two is less than 50mV, accurately and stably discharging the expected capacity of the battery cell.
    • Low power consumption and high efficiency: TCB561 adopts advanced Low-power electronics, which can reduce energy consumption, extend battery life and improve energy utilization efficiency while maintaining high performance.
