ASMA will invest 200million dollars to expand Wilton semiconductor plant

    On May 31, don graves, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce, and Peter wennink, the CEO and President of ASMA, announced at the Veldhoven headquarters of ASMA that they would spend $200million to expand the semiconductor plant in Wilton, Connecticut. This announcement coincides with the final passage of the bipartisan innovation bill in Congress, which will invest US $52billion in the research, development and production of us semiconductors.



    ASML Wilton is ASML‘s largest R & D and manufacturing base in the United States. ASML Wilton has more than 2000 employees and has invested $100million in clean rooms, laboratories and offices. It is a vital design, engineering and production center to meet growing global demand. The expansion is expected to create 1000 new jobs in the next two years.
